I am a buy-side intermediary that is on the look-out for potential acquisition candidates for the fund of a private equity group (PEG). The PEG invests in established, profitable middle-market, Founder/Family-owned companies in the USA and Canada. The investment types include middle-market leveraged buyouts, management-led build-ups and consolidations and minority recapitalizations/growth capital. Company characteristics include strong management team in place, history of growth and profitability, strong underlying fundamentals; low capital intensity, $4-$20 million or more in operating income/EBITDA. The investment size is $20-$250 million of equity. The PEG also can provide mezzanine financing with the equity investment. The sectors of interest include Specialty Manufacturing/Industrial Manufacturing, Consumer Products & Services, Business Services and Value-Added Distribution.
